Emily Todhunter’s 18th Century country house in Wiltshire as featured in The English Home magazine
Words by Clair Wayman
Interior designer Emily Todhunter’s Queen Anne farmhouse on the edge of the Marlborough Downs is gloriously relaxed and understated. As Emily points out, there wasn’t a single considered thought that went into the decoration of the interiors. Everything is very unintentional and maybe that’s part of the loveliness – the house has a famously scruffy charm. Living in this wonderful idyllic spot Emily loves nothing better than riding her horse or walking her dogs along The Ridgeway, through unspoilt countryside. This is a story of a much loved family home, an informal approach to decorating and the beauty of spontaneity.
